Benefits of solar
By installing solar panels you can generate clean renewable electricity, which will reduce your power bills for years to come. You can even supply surplus energy back to the grid, therefore crediting your account. Solar panel systems are simple to install and maintain, so not only will you save on your electricity bills, you'll also be helping our planet.
Solar power rebates
There are grants and subsidies available to support your investment in solar power and you may be eligible for a Federal Government rebate towards the cost of your solar system. There is also an ongoing State Government based incentive in the form of a feed-in-tariff when your system produces more power than your house needs.

Reduce your carbon footprint
Simple changes in our everyday lives have a positive effect against global warming and climate change. For instance, you can reduce the amount of fossil fuel generated energy you use with energy efficient products and by simply turning off electrical equipment when they are not in use. This not only reduces your carbon footprint but saves you money too.
Renewable energy certificates (RECS)
The Mandatory Renewable Energy Target (MRET) supports the reduction of Australia's greenhouse gas emissions by increasing the amount of electricity generated from renewable energy sources.
This is achieved through an innovative market-based certificate trading scheme called Renewable Energy Certificate (REC). Each REC represents the equivalent of one megawatt hour of electricity generation from an accredited renewable energy source e.g. solar panels. This means you may be able to create and trade RECs, which would help offset the cost of installing your renewable energy system.
